after fight
Been busy like crazy recently, sadly its more because of working than partying.
Indeed, like almost all fighters, living from the sport is impossible.
So i have to keep a full time job beside my kick life.
Needless to say between working the day and training the night, there isn't so much time to do anything at all.
You start to guess now, why my japanese(language) is so bad.
For the last fight i had to take day off (friday), its crazy how so much stuff started to queue on my desk. Now its time to clean all this.
By the way, i would like to thank my compagny and my boss for understanding my needs according to the sports career always asking for more.
really, thank you Boss

TITLE MATCH
Here it comes, the big match.
The one i was training for so long, AJKF welter weight title.
Starting my professional kickboxing career 2 years ago i was in the same time happy to get this opportunity and lil bit stressed too.
My opposent Yuya Yamamoto looks quite confident from the beginning.
to be honnest i have a big respect for him, i remember when i arrived in japan i saw his fight in K1max japan.

I was impressed how a so young guy is doing so well.
The match start straight without observations.
We were exchanging low kicks against knees...

punches against elbows...

i worked a lot with clinh and knee, but he was still absorbing damages...

In the fourth round i could get him with an elbow, resulting a cut nasty enought to the medical staff to stop the fight.

Im the CHAMPION!!!!
For the first time in history, a foreigner became champion of japanese kickboxing.

Right on time for my birthday :)

special guest
The night just before the fight i was visiting my friend Futaesaku san, and was very pleased to meet Melvin Manhoeff HIMSELF!

He is the reserve fight of the K1 tournament saturday in yokahama, so he was stopping by also visiting the Dr.
We watch some bout of Nassem Prince hammed together. (i love watching Nassem's fight the day before my fights, it always cheer me up)
In fact Melvin M. is so quiet, was very nice to meet him.

back on track (litterally)
Because it became quite cold in tokyo, and also because my bike let me down last week,
I have no other choice than using again public transportations...

It is not such big deal during the day, the main inconvenient is the morning.
During the morning rush, dont even think about get a sit, you would already be lucky to get in the car.
