Ladies class
Every tuesday night there is "ladies class" at scramble, usually teach under k1 max fighter Hayato.
Because of the upcoming next k1 max japan tournament, Hayato is busy at training and so i am taking the ladies class.
Actually i have to say girls are better student than boys, they seems to really care about techniques and always keep in mind the advice they received.
hope to see a crowded class tonight :)

road trip with scramble boyz
for this "relax" sunday, we decided to have a go at shizuoka.
Au menu : yama-yaki festival, good food, onsen, and lots of fun...
Au menu : yama-yaki festival, good food, onsen, and lots of fun...
Meeting point was shibuya 6am. i have to say i wasnt very fresh coming straight from roppongi party f(^^)--
Itakura managed to find a nice subaru for the day, very confortable, i recommend:
Wentz and Kotetsu seemed fresh, but once we hit the road we leaved the poor Itakura alone for driving while we were sleeping. Thanks for taking care of us Naoto
On the attraction, we could see the once-a-year festival : "Yama-yaki"
BEFORE:
DURING:
AFTER:
But dont worry, these guys are real pro, of course, they planned high measure security:
Then surprise!!
we bumped straight on the AJKF bus, no shit :
Where are you guyz?!? you make a party without inviting your welter champion??... bastards!!!
Later, althought all the chips and chocolate eaten on the road, our stomach started to ask for more. We stoped on a restaurant next to a "geiser" and I could ate the most delicious "aji" mix in my life.
Monkeys looks to be really appreciated in shizuoka...
appreciated enought to be perfored by an iron pipe along the road :
Finally arrived the best moment of the day, the ONSEN!!!
a natural hot spring just on the cliff in front of the sea....just beautifull and incredibly relaxing

As the sun was going down, we started to go back to the noisy tokyo.
I will never forget the beautifull landscape of Shizuoka, thanks to you guyz for showing me this :

the last but not the least...
to end the week end on a exciting note, our dear Wentz was facing the super fly weight champion from M.A.
for the occasion wentz made a new costume. lets just say that its looking good...........on him ;)
This interfederation fight was a super fight 3*3rounds.
Because super fly is very light, they use very light gloves :
(damned 6OZ in your face!!)
It started straight with hard blow from both.
Wentz was very complete, kick, punch, elbows, jumping knees,...
He was also moving very well, nive step works, with good moves. Varying his attack and defense at a good pace.
but i also was scared at some moments, like when during sending a knee he get countered by a big hook in the face. Fortunatly it wasnt enought to rock wentz out.
In the last round, the M.A champion did throw a good elbow that cut wentz on the forehead (6points) but it wasnt blooding that much so after a quick medical check the fight went to the decision in favor of our scramble mate.

on the way to kolakuhen hall...
with Koji we stopped at some shop around suidobashi.

There is enought kind of protein to feed up "Overeheem" himself.
And some goodies for the hardcore fan, who havent yet his masato figurine?
also it was Nice, on the TV were passing the "kobayashi techniques DVD" right on the part with me against Kanazawa.
Thanks, but im still waiting for image rights AJKF :P
tought week-end
Didnt even had the time to celebrate with the new champion of rise, that it was already time to wake up for the AJKF event hold in shinjuku face.

first surprise, even a sunday morning there is always too much people everywhere.
arrived at shinjuku face, i was kind of pissed off that the girl at the counter ask me what i wanted.... Yes, you can be the only gaijin fighting in AJKF + win a belt, you are still a nobody for the ticket sellers ahaha
when i arrived, Itakura was already checking the ring.
He was more relax then usually and did a really good match.
his opponent was probably deconcerted by his new stance. (Naoto became a southpaw fighter recently)
He could connect a lots of kick, knees, elbows and punch, but still his oponent was the kind
tought able to take damage.
Naoto won by unanimous decision!!
And now lets go for the final sprint, wentz at J-net

RISE 52
So in chronological order :
Wow is the first word coming in mind when i think about it.
Match was tight, kotetsu stick with low kick and his opponent was throwing hard punches.
As RISE favorise a lil bit more punch, i was seing kotetsu losing on the s
core. But then in the last round, right after his maybe 300th low kick :P , he surprises everyone (inclueding me) by sending a high kick that caught is opponent right on the jaw...
His opponent totally shut down for few minutes.
To tell the truth i was more worryed by his health than i would be happy for Kotetsu.
He finally recover and could leave the ring by himself.
Well done, man.

This fight was the opening of the new weight categorie in RISE of 65kg, wich is the perfect weight for Mizutani.
Once again he fought with a smile on his face.
Althought it sure wasnt easy to manage the size difference with his opponent (13cm).
Mizutani did a good job with punch combination. But his opponent was using well his reach advantage to throw some good knees followed by clinch (i thought it was forbiden in RISE)
In the end Mizutani lost the decision, but once again he did put on a good show
the main event of the night, ITTABASHI Kan chan against Yuki for the 60kg belt.
Already in interview before match i heard about Yuki sounding kind of overconfident speaking of lack of experience from the scramble fighter.
But after 4 or 5 down received by Kan chan, im sure he did change is mind.
Kan did won by unani;ous decision with a huge advance in score 44-49, 46-49, 43-49 yes he did :) So....here is the new champion :

saturday Odaiba
first, saturday was the rise event.
It took place in odaiba.
Odaiba is an artificial island in south of tokyo.
There is a very nice (and expensive) sky train to go there, the "yurikamome"line.
the line is even doing a loop on his way following the rainbow bridge.
yeah just like mario kart:
once again the scramble shined
last week end had been tought,
from saturday afternoon untill sunday night, it was all about:
- massaging fighters,
- greasing them up with vaselin and sometime special oil,
- preparing their warm up,
- checking event schedule (the more KO happening in match earlier on the card, the fastest you have to be ready),
- supporting and screaming,
- being quik as possible during the one minute interval between round
- taking of bandages,
- waiting, waiting a lot,
- and of course celebrating :)
