HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRAINER!!!

(actually on diet, watching this cake was a real torture to me T-T)

Bin is one of the trainers here at scramble.

Working pads with him, learning techniques from him, getting support before fights, laughing about stupid stuff together is few of hundred reason why i appreciate Bin.

S-cup 2008

So i went to the S-cup 2008 event last monday.

Good points :)
- Good friendly mood (entrance of Ceasar with dark Vader theme,..)
- nice fireworks, music, and effects.
- Souwer on fire from the begining to the end
- MMA fighters did better than expected (standing submissioin from Luiz Azeredo)
- exciting situation (multiples kos in the fight Azeredo / Ogata)

- The final, Ogata Vs Souwer, that everyone was waiting for, did happened.

bad points :(
- Too bad Brian Lo-A- njoe wasnt there. Was hoping to see that revenge with ogata.
- saitama superarena was a bit too big for this event. The hall wasnt foul, and even when screaming the crowd wasnt that noisy.
- Visibility wasnt great, couldnt take any good pics. And only 1 big screen very far.
- some boring fights. dont take me for a sexist, but 2 girls fights weren't that necessary. I prayed there wouldnt have extra round at both.
- Also what with all these "exibitions"between fights?!? the "cantatrice" in the middle of the show, the basketball team players, and specialy this :


WTF?!? can somebody explain this to me? It looks like an advertissement for chips.

Its just my opinion, but i think everybody would have prefer to watch other fights than that.

Gladely, the main show, the S-CUP tournament, bring some good fights.
thats the most important after all.

I was very surprise to find in tsutaya (dvd rental shop) the french movie "CHOCK DEE".
And as i never resist to the pleasure of seing a movie in my native language :)

SO I jsut saw this movie yesterday night, and i have to say i was surprised in a good way.

They dont show thailand and the sport from a "naïve" point of view, it was quite realist and entertaining with a positiv message.

Personnaly i love the look of the taxi driver in the scene when "ryan" ask to take him the boxing camp.

i really recommend it.

S-CUP tournament 2008

Yes, thats gonna be next monday, in saitama super arena:

Have a look on the card :As you can see there are the well famous Andy Souwer, Ogata, Shishido, Brian Lo-A- njoe , and the rising Denis Schneldmiller, + some new faces from mma.

- Good to see more europeans in the mix.

- Concerning the guys from MMA , in my mind i would have prefer to see other thai/kickboxer.

- Nice to see Ogata taking challenge. His first opposent, Brian Lo-A- njoe put him ko last year. Looks like its time for revenge.

- I have seen only two fight from Denis Schneldmiller. One against Yoshihiro Sato in max, and the second against Malapeit. He lost both (robbed against Malapeit IMO) but he is a good hope.
He can take damage, and he have a good stamina.
Surprise us Denis!!

I will be there, hopefully if im not too far i will try to get pics and vidéos.

TITLE MATCH!!!

All right, here is the poster of my next fight, and not hte least.
Iits gonna be for the title of champion of japan in welter weight, my opposant (the actual champion) is Yuya Yamamoto.


Im kind of disapointed that the wrestlers have a bigger spot than me on the poster.
But hey, its just a poster afterall.

Also on the card will be the light weight title match, and middle weight title match.

On the right you have already all recognise Kohiruimaki.
he is supposed to fight "Ash-ra" wich i dont know yet, but from what i have heard it should be a easy fight for Kohiruimaki.

the guy on the left is Maeda, i dont know who is his opposent , i dont even know why he get such a big spot.

Then the exibitions match with wrestlers...that, i dont even know what to say about it...

sunday relax time

My legs still hurts from the run, so im not missing ne more opportuniy to do one of my favorite things in japan : LETS GO TO ONSEN!!!!

Its SPA like hot springs water source, often with indoor and outdoor baths, jacuzzi, sauna, massage, healthy food,...everything to keep you a full afternoon if not more.

With this new one, i can watch TV, check internet, take pictures, send mail, and so many other things i dont know yet.


In the end the last fonction i use my phone for is...calling.

This time for our weekly running activities, we decided to do some "relais" race on 800m and 400m.

Teams were nicely done, strong runner were split and every team have equal chance to win the race.
Also in order to spice up a little bit the thing, the losing team had to offer energy/protein drinks to the winners :)

Its obvious everyone motivation get rise up as nobody wanted to waste the chance of the team. We all give our best, specially Kotetsu because as me he is a "occasional" runner. good job man

Result : i get a drink, but i also loose my legs for 3 dayz

Fridayz dash dayzzz

Every fridays at scramble, we do like to torture our legs on the track field.

Personnaly i really hate running, specially with Wentz (former runner athlete) and Itakura the running machine. T-T

But running is necessary, so lets just do it!!

Sunday bloody sunday

Sunday was a sad day for the scramble gym, Both fighters lose by decisions.

I dont know if Koji wan't really in the fight or if he was just too carefull, but it result in being too long to get in the fight during the first round. Too much observation and he received too much hit.
In the second he start to lend some good middle, and for the last round start working the clinch.
But that wasnt enought to compensate the lost score earlier, Koji knew it.

Then M-1 event, what to say?...
Masuda's opposent was just too tall, too skilled and too strong.
A clinch speciallist, his knee looked very powerfull (specially in the nuts...2times low blow :-/...)
Masuda couldnt find a strategie, but keept up coming back at it, during all the 5 rounds.

Watching them in tough situations like that remind me the hardness of the sports.
Both of them, facing a stronger opponent or having to catch up with a already lost score, still they never gave up and keep going until the final gong.

I will work on my mind too, thanks for the lesson :)

Lil flash back at last summer

Here we are, 22/08/2008 in shinjuku face.
My opposent Kin toko came to advenge his lost by tko (cut) in our precedent bout(11/05/2007). For me it was time to come back after 3 consecutive loss.

ready for the week end

Once again a lot of event this week end.

You already know about the AJKF event, but there is two more event at wich i will attend on sunday.

First the J-net event named "J-FIGHT in SHINJUKU～vol.6～"
My team mate Koji is the main event. If he win that fight, he will next fight for the title.
The last time i saw Koji fight was during a 1 day tournament in wich he beat the #1 of his ranking, in the final he did well until he get stop by the doctor because of a deep cut.
He is hungry to get back on the ring, cant wait to see that fight.

Right after this fight, all the scramble crew is gonna rush untill Diffa Ariake to assist Masuda's match in the event :
"M-1 FAIRTEX SINGHA BEER ムエタイチャレンジ Legend of elbows2008"
Once again Masuda is gonna take on a Thai fighter.
For remind, in his last fight in may Masuda did get the decision after a really hard fight against a top ranker Radjadamnern nakmuay.

Wow one really interresting event coming this week end:

Its all gona all be under K1 rules. Interesting when you think most of the fighters here wish to be selected in the k1max circuit, you can expect them to use this event as a great opportunity to show what they really are able to do.

After a deserved vacation by the beach

im finally back to the gym, ready to endure a hard training at surpassing myslef to get a chance for the title.

My opponent, Yuya Yamamoto may be younger than me, still he already have great qualities :

-he is very fast. As well with his hands as his kicks
-he deliver good combinations kick-punch
-he have a great experience on the ring. the boy just fight a lot! Only this year he already fought with Samkor, Marfio Canoletti , Samranchai 96 Peenung,...

NUMBER 1!!!

One step closer to the belt.

Last 17th october "All or nothing"event, i could get my revenge against Mitsumasa Horikawa from AJ gym.

We were both very motivated, as the winner of this match will then face Yuya Yamamoto for the title match.
But the fact that horikawa san beat me by decision earlier in mars this year, may have gave me a bigger will to win.

The fight started without any observation round, we both go to krush!


I could take the advantage by scoring a down in each first 3 rounds :




Of course the fight wasnt over, my opposent is known for his good "never give up" heart and stamina.



Him knowing he was losing in the scoring, and me really looking for a concret win, we naturally came to use a lots of elbows.

This match bring me lots of satisfaction for many different reasons.

First of all i could became number 1 in the welter weight ranking.

Also of course because i am officially gonna fight for THE TITLE next 5th of december!!

But the most important to me :

i was very (surprisly) happy to received so much cheering for me during that fight. Not only from my friend but also from many different peoples, boys and girls, young and older,...its a greatfeeling to feel support like that :)

I think the crowd here in tokyo really appreciate the sports, and they do support a fighter for his skills netherless his origins.
